Health and Safety

Health and safety is a very important part of the event and a number of procedures are in place to keep everyone safe and to prevent injuries. Scrap Club has been running for over 6 months at the Elektrowerks club in Islington and we have developed a system which is to be resolutely adhered to.

Enough space is given between 'scrappers' to avoid any possible contact in the midst of the destructive feast. Groups of no more than 10 people per round are allowed

The protective gear is professional equipment worn by demolition workers and must be worn during each round in case of unexpected flying debris.

All the objects smashed are secure in that they do not explode, leak hazardous chemicals, or emit radiation on destruction.

A medical attendant is on site to immediately tend to any injury should an accident happen.
